Six Weeks Before Move:

  • Call for moving estimates.
  • Call the Chamber Of Commerce and Visitors & Convention Bureau in your new town and get their new resident information packages.

  • Start using things up that you can't move, like cleaning supplies and frozen food.
  • Discuss tax-related moving expenses, liabilities, and deductions with your tax advisor.
  • Make a list of all people/organizations to contact about change of address.
  • Complete U.S. Postal Service change of address forms and mail them to all applicable publications, stores and organizations.
  • Get copies of (or arrange for transfer at both ends of move) all school, medical, dental, veterinary, legal, and accounting records.
  • Contact insurance agents to transfer or cancel coverage.
  • If it's a company move, check with your employer to find out what moving expenses they cover.

  • Locate and obtain all automobile licensing and registration information.

Four Weeks Before Move:

  • Get an itemized list of all moving related costs and review with mover, including packing, loading, special charges, insurance, vehicles (if needed), etc.
  • Contact all current and new location utility companies (gas, water, electric, cable TV, phone & trash collection) to set connect/disconnect dates. Remember to keep current utilities hooked up until move day.
  • Make arrangements for relocation of pets and plants.
  • Move valuables to safe deposit box to prevent loss during move.
  • If you are packing yourself, acquire packing materials/boxes and pack items you won't need for the next month.
  • If professional mover is packing your goods, schedule packing day(s) 1 or 2 days before move.
  • Prepare any mowers, snow blowers, boats, snowmobiles (or other vehicles you won't be using before the move) for the move by servicing and draining gas and oil, to prevent a moving van fire.
  • Repair, send out for re-upholstery, or clean furniture, drapes, carpeting as needed.

What our clients are saying

Doug was patient, knowledgeable, and straightforward, whether it be about real estate or other topics. He will point you in the right direction. He always assured us that we have made the right decision in the purchase of the house. Otherwise, he will be blunt and let you know why the decision is bad and point you to where you need to be so that you can be sure that you made the right pick for the house. Highly recommend him!

~ Darren Lam

Doug knows his stuff inside and out. He responded quickly, even on the weekends. Our house was not an easy one to sell due to its age and structural issues. Doug made sure to negotiate a transparent and ethical deal with the buyer and got us enough money to build our dream home. I hope he's still working in 30 years when we're ready to sell again!

~ Eva Kimble

We absolutely loved Christyn, she was super sweet and supportive from the beginning she showed us so many houses until we were able to find the one that was perfect for us. She took the time to listen to what we wanted and what we needed and really made it happen, her whole team did! She really went the extra mile, even up to the closing. We will always be forever grateful and blessed that she was our Realtor

~ Tamiko Nixon

Heidi has worked with us to sell three houses now. She has worked very patiently with us to help us sell my dad’s place. She will work hard for you to sell your real estate. We will definitely use her again. You can’t go wrong with Heidi. I highly recommend her.

~ Larry DuFresne

Christyn was very accommodating and patient, and really went out of her way to help us feel secure and confident in whatever direction we ultimately went. Highly recommended

~ Nicholas Hansen

Heidi Dyer did an absolute stellar, over the top, amazing job. She is great to work with, she is incredibly knowledgeable, and seasoned professional in every aspect. I have zero problems giving her the highest possible recommendation. From start to finish, Heidi followed through on every commitment made, which resulted in a stress free, smooth transaction, that exceeded our expectations in every category.

~ Phil M

I would go with Jessica Wilber, an individual, who is professional, researching the market, looking at the community, evaluating the normal cost of the homes or land. She listens to your situation of what you would like, your needs and help direct you in the best possible situation, sharing facts, and being personable as though you are talking to a friend.

~ David Hollis

Fantastic experience! Almost sad my house sold cause I will miss corresponding with Heidi! Lightning fast responses to calls, texts and emails. Very positive, hard working and knowledgeable about the entire home buying/selling process. Above and beyond my expectations.

~ Angie Rankin

Heidi was such an AMAZING realtor. 100% knowledgeable, persistent and fun! We were in a multiple offer situation, and we mostly got the house because of Heidi’s hard work. I’d recommend her over and over again!

~ Josh Rueter

Heidi has been amazing to work with! When we were searching for a new home, Heidi listened to our wishes and needs. She explained the buying process to us and supported us every step along the way. She found us the perfect home at a great price! We highly recommend Heidi as your real estate agent. Warren and Patti

~ Warren and Patti Fisk

Heidi went far beyond competent and acceptable in her handling of our sale in Gig Harbor. She was AMAZING! Not only did she complete the sale for over asking price in less than 10 days, she did it with pizaz and style. There wasn't a day go by until and even after the sale was complete and signed that she didn't call and either up date us with the process or asking about our welfare. She provided sound advice and counsel all along the way. She was recommended to us from another client and we were ecstatic with the results. If you have a chance to use her services DO IT!

~ Bruce & Louise Blakemore

We were thrilled with our experience with Heidi. She was very proactive and dependable. But more important than that was that she could see our vision of our property. We had declined to use another realtor months before because she did not see what we saw in our property. We made some improvements that the first realtor thought we should not make and when we visited with Heidi she believed we could get more than we had thought we could. In the end we sold for almost 75,000 more than the first realtor thought we should list our property at. Heidi was friendly and trustworthy and fun to work with!

~ Bruce Monson

I can't recommend Heidi enough! She is not only an excellent realtor, but a kind and friendly person. She was with us through every step of the home buying process, explaining everything along the way. We found the perfect property thanks to her and she negotiated a price we were comfortable with. Thanks for everything Heidi! Dean and I greatly appreciate all the late night phone calls and crazy backwoods driving adventures to find that perfect place
